Dorodjatun Kuntjoro-Jakti was the Minister for the Economy and Finance in Indonesia during the President Megawati Sukarnoputri administration of 2001-2004. Previously, he was the ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the USA. Dorodjatun graduated with a PhD in political science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1980. Currently, he is the Commissioner of the BTPN (Bank), Independent Commissioner of the AIA (Insurance) and PT. Hero Supermarket, as well as Vice President Commissioner of PT. Maxim Global Partners.
Our Team
Robby A. Fadila is the founder of the Indonesia Development Institute (INDI). He is specializing in International Relations and National Public Policy issues. Robby has successfully conducted numerous projects with other partners (such as the Indonesia Public Policy and Business Development Network) and also maintain great network with stakeholders, especially from the state owned enterprises sectors. Additionally, he has written and published a book "Towards Indonesia's Strategic Role in Regional & Global Arena: Indonesia's Foreign Policy under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono".
Fernando K. Suprobo is the co-founder of INDI. He worked as Political Staff for three years at the Indonesian Mission to ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asia Nations). Throughout his work, he provided political and economic analysis in the region, as well as organized and attended numerous international events and meeting; including the ASEAN Summit. Later when he came to the United States, he interned at the Michigan House of Representatives, and then appointed as a Creative Campaign Consultant for the State Representatives for Detroit, Michigan. Now, he is based in New York City.
Muh. Dudi Hari Saputra is the Chief of Strategic Bureau for Golkar (Golongan Karya) in East Kalimantan. He holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master of Arts degree for Global Trade Diplomacy. He was a member of Indonesian National Youth Committee and a former research assistant for the Institute of International Studies of Gadjah Mada University. Dudi is always actively contributing to many scientific activities (which led him to won international awards for his academic paper), as well as conveying many of his opinions in mass media, such as The Jakarta Post.
Ralang Argi was the former President of Indonesian Association in Michigan (PERMIAS). Now, he is working at the Indonbaruna Bulk Transportation, a shipping company in Indonesia with both international and domestic customers. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. He always have a passion for the development of Indonesian society and nation building, which motivated him to join INDI soon after graduating from college.
Steven Yohanes is currently a graduate student in Asian Studies at Lund University, Sweden. He is also a researcher at The Habibie Center's ASEAN Studies Program, Indonesia. Prior to joining The Habibie Center, he was working at the CSIS Indonesia and United Nations Information Centre (UNIC). His research interest involved in ASEAN Political-Security, Chinese Foreign Policy and CCP's Role, and Indonesian Foreign Policy in Asia-Pacific.
